If you are ever in New York City and are looking for an amazing authentic Italian restaurant but don’t want to wait an hour or more for a table then this is the place for you!
Despite having lived by this cozy place for a few months now I have only just now decided to take a trip in while my family was visiting. Upon entering you are immediately greeted by the owner himself, which was a very nice touch. At the table, our waiter was very friendly and stayed on top of everything we needed. The restaurant itself is fairly small, having only 6 tables or so, but this adds to its warm, snug atmosphere.
The menu is not huge but is full of award-winning, traditional Italian dishes. We ordered three different meals which included Gnocchi Baresi, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Paccheri Norma. Each of these was absolutely amazing! The Gnocchi Baresi was my dish and it had a very flavorful sauce that I loved! Along with that, the pasta was cooked to perfection, one of the best plates of pasta I have ever had. I did not get a chance to try the other two dishes myself, but my mom and sister were raving over them as well. The only negative comment about the food is that the portions were a bit on the smaller side for the price, but they were just enough food for us.
Overall, Mani-in-Pasta has amazing food, friendly staff, and a very comfortable environment. I had a great restaurant experience, and I am sure to return again in the future to try their other authentic Italian dishes. If you are ever in the area, make sure you give this little place a try!
